Recently, the Third Technical Upgrading Conference for Wind Power Operation and Maintenance themed with "new situation, new technology and new value", hosted by Polaris Power Grid and Polaris Wind Power Grid, was held in Beijing, during which Dongfang Electric Wind Power was awarded the title of "advanced wind turbine supplier with strong wind power influence". Up to now, Dongfang Electric Wind Power has delivered over 15000 wind turbines of various types to clients all over the world, with a total installed capacity of more than 35 million kW.
Such an activity covering the wind power industry aimed to grant honors to outstanding wind power developers, equipment manufacturers, project contractors, service providers, and spare parts suppliers, as well as outstanding wind power service projects with demonstration significance and promotion value in 2024, contributing to recognizing the advanced collectives, and setting examples for wind power innovation and services to provide reference for the wind power industry.
As one of the world's largest power generation equipment manufacturers and power station engineering general contractors, Dongfang Electric (DEC) has pioneered in developing megawatt wind power equipment in China. In march 2015, DEC integrated the group's wind power industry resources and established Dongfang Electric Wind Power Co., Ltd., a professional integrated subsidiary of wind power industry, in Deyang.

In Europe, the developed wind turbines suitable for the Nordic alpine climate were employed to build the largest wind farm in Northern Europe (Bracken, Sweden); in Tibet, the developed ultra-high altitude wind turbines withstood proudly the challenges at the 5100m plateau; in Xinjiang, the developed 10 MW terrestrial wind turbines for the "Gobi Desert" environment will be put into operation in batches here. It has also taken the lead in launching the 18MW offshore high-power wind turbines with the largest single capacity in the Asia-Pacific region, driving to enter into China's wind power "double-digit era"... At the same time, Dongfang Electric Wind Power continues to accelerate technology iteration and optimization. It has developed a new generation of multibrid technology WTGS featuring compact structure, high integration, good reliability, and high efficiency, of which 7-10 MW wind turbines have been put into batch operation in the Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang and other regions.
