Recently, Dongfang Turbine was rated as a "five-star performance equipment supplier" in the 2023 equipment supplier performance evaluation made by China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd.,(CGN) and it was also the only CRDM (control rod driving mechanism) equipment supplier with five-star performance. Such evaluation is a sign of high recognition of Dongfang Turbine's manufacturing capacity of nuclear safety equipment.

In recent years, the CRDM sector of Dongfang Turbine has developed vigorously, gained a strong momentum of development and improved continuously its performance and brand influence. In terms of technology research and development, Dongfang Turbine achieved technological progress of the improved third-generation nuclear power through research and development of high-temperature coil, and made every effort to break through the manufacturing technical bottlenecks such as surface treatment, high-precision small hole processing, and ultra-long parts processing. All performance indicators met the design requirements and independent localization has been fully realized. In terms of lean quality, by adhering to the policy of "safety first and quality first" with 183000 manufacturing data records for a single product, it has accomplished process management and control, and guaranteed product performance and quality with high standards by focusing on details. In terms of delivery and performance capacity, it has effectively fulfilled commitments through process optimization, scientific utilization of resources, and adjustment of work shifts according to the milestones and by relying on digital factory construction. It has carried out in-depth party building and joint construction with CGN to ensure the high-quality delivery of equipment. In 2023, Dongfang Turbine delivered the first CGN "Hualong-1" CRDM Huizhou 1# project, which achieved a rare "zero NCR (non-conformance report)" record in the industry in the past five years during on-site installation process, further upgrading the brand of Dongfang Turbine.

Next, Dongfang Turbine will accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system, actively promote the construction of production lines and digital transformation, with the goal of creating a "first-class CRDM manufacturer"; it will also drive the development of the industrial chain in partnering with upstream and downstream suppliers, speed up the formation of new productive forces, and enhance industry competitiveness for high quality growth.
