Sampling Inspections on Cold Chain Foods Unfolded in Deyang

"Are you inspecting frozen foods?" "Yes, we are conducting a sampling inspection on cold chain foods to strengthen pandemic prevention and control." On January 17, the law enforcement officials of the Municipal Administration for Market Regulation were conducting a sampling inspection on cold chain foods in a supermarket on Tianshan Road in downtown. The public praised the administration for its strengthening of daily inspections so that they would be more secure in buying cold chain foods.

To earnestly implement the work arrangements related to cold chain food safety and ensure the cold chain food safety during the pandemic, the Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, based on the food safety sampling inspection work, has timely conducted overall planning, adjusted the categories for sampling inspections, focused on supermarkets, refrigeration storage, butcher shops, etc., and increased efforts in sampling inspections on meat products, aquatic products, frozen foods and other cold chain foods to eliminate food safety risks and hidden dangers.

From January 16 to 17, the Comprehensive Law Enforcement Detachment of the Municipal Administration for Market Regulation and the personnel of the Municipal Food and Drug Safety Inspection and Testing Center conducted sampling inspections on the cold chain foods of small and medium-sized supermarkets in downtown. "In the sampling inspection process, we will also check the sources of cold chain foods and check for any quarantine certificate, customs clearance certificate, sterilization certificate and nucleic acid test report to strengthen regulation from the source," said Yang Liangliang, a staff member of the Comprehensive Law Enforcement Detachment of the Municipal Administration for Market Regulation. According to him, besides the regulation of the source, they also regulated the sales terminals, namely, supermarkets and marketplaces; the scope of the sampling inspections included large supermarkets, small and medium-sized supermarkets, and even some township mini-markets, with a total of 10 batches of cold chain food samples inspected. The sampling inspection results will be released to the public.
