Over 2.44 Million Tourists Visited Deyang

As of October 8, during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, totally 2.4462 million tourists visited Deyang, at a recovery of 80.8% on comparable basis. The culture and tourism achieved an integrated gross revenue of RMB1.589 billion, at a recovery of 78.7% on comparable basis. The A-grade tourist attractions received 604,700 tourists, achieving a ticket revenue of RMB3,221,285. The libraries, cultural centers, municipal museums and other public cultural sites in Deyang have had 16,561 visitors in total. During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, we held Sichuan Opera & Cuisine Culture Week and other major events, further enlivening our tourism market. Data show that during the holiday, apparently characterized by tours within the province, short-distance travel, and self-driving tour, the tourists are increasingly willing to travel, with an significant increase in number over this May Day and Dragon Boat Festival holiday, despite a slight drop compared to the last National Day, especially small peaks on October 3, 4 and 5. The tourists outside the province are mainly from Guangdong, Shaanxi, Chongqing, Zhejiang and Shanghai. Those within the province are mostly from Chengdu, Mianyang, Suining, Meishan, Ya'an and other surrounding cities.

Many tourists seek for leisure in the form of family trip, making rural tourism gain momentum continuously. During the holiday, the rural tourism in our city is becoming a hotspot for tourists, including Mianzhu New Year Painting Village Scenic Area, Jiulong Mountain-Lutang Mountain Tourist Area, Baimaguan Scenic Area, Guanghan Yijia River Dam, Xiaoquan Ancient Town, Zhongjiang Bottom of Sichuan Basin, Flower on the Ridge in Luojiang, China Xiang Mountain Plus Shouxiang Valley and other rural tourism scenic areas (spots), which have attracted a large number of tourists from Chengdu, Mianyang, Meishan and other surrounding cities, in addition to the local citizens. Cultural characteristic tour is showing the charm. Cultural tourism, red tourism and industrial tourism are increasingly popular with tourists. During the holiday, Sanxingdui Museum, Zhongjiang Museum, Huang Jiguang Memorial Hall, Former Residence of Huang Jiguang, Mianzhu "Tianyi Time-honored" Winery, the Relic Site Park of Hanwang Earthquake and other attractions are favored by quite a few tourists, switching on the charm of our characteristic culture. The new form of cultural tourism is increasing its heat. Cultural tourism plus cultural creativity, leisure, health & wellness, sports and other new forms of industry are attracting more and more attention. Such online celebrity attractions as Golden Qingping Scenic Area, Red Maple Ridge, Western Sichuan, Jing Yun Gao Huai, China Hehai, Wenmiao Xintiandi Pedestrian Street, Baimaguan Scenic Area Athletic Events, Fule Tongcheng Amusement Park have become popular places for tourists to visit and take photos.
