On the eve of the 2020 "Green Travel Promotion Month" and "Bus Travel Promotion Week", the Office of Deyang Leadership & Coordination Group for Public Organization Energy Conservation has issued a notice to call on public institutions at all levels to play a pioneering role in practicing "low-carbon, environmentally friendly and green travel".

With the rapid economic and social development and the ever-increasing improvement of people's living standards, the scale of motor vehicles continues to grow, which has put tremendous pressure on the city's environment and traffic. To effectively alleviate urban traffic congestion, save limited natural resources, create a good ecological environment and enhance the image of the city and the quality of life of citizens, and at the same time lay a good foundation for the creation of a national civilized city, the Office of Deyang Leadership & Coordination Group for Public Organization Energy Conservation recently issued an initiative to call on all officials and employees of public institutions at all levels to learn, master and promote low-carbon lifestyle, raise low-carbon awareness, establish low-carbon concepts, advocate low-carbon life and strive to be advocates, propagandists and advocates of "low-carbon, environmentally friendly and green travel" .

The officials and employees of public institutions at all levels in the city are encouraged to establish a travel concept of "walking, biking and public transit prior to private cars"; employees who live in the city are encouraged to try their best to walk, ride bikes or take a bus to get on and off work to the extent of abiding by work attendance checking system. People are also encouraged to take environmentally friendly means of traffic in their daily life, ensuring that environmentally friendly behaviors and green travel are infused into the life and work of every citizen.

Since 1991, China has organized the "Green Travel Promotion Month" and "Bus Travel Promotion Week" every year. The September of this year will be the 2020 "Green Travel Promotion Month" and September 21-27 will be the "Bus Travel Promotion Week". (Reporter: Zhang Rong)
